A bike’s life cycle
Here’s a cool video that’s making the rounds on the inter-web. It’s one for all you artistic types out there.

Next week, we are taking it to a new level in the training camp…..
Random sighting at 9th & 9th yesterday and my most favorite one yet. Bret McKenzie from Flight of the Conchords was randomly walking around 9th & 9th yesterday. When I saw him, I thought “that looks like the guy from Flight of the Conchords but why would he be in Salt Lake”. Then I heard the Kiwi accent and was certain it was. Needless to say Ryan and Jillian had a band meeting with Bret.
Here is just a sampling as to why I was so excited:

What a mess. What a beautiful mess.

Crossing in the snow globe
Here’s some great video of the days events
Yes we’ve got snow, yes it’s cold, and yes my jean jacket isn’t as insulating as I thought it would be but let’s get real. Cyclo-crossers unite and tough this sort of thing out. They did in Heber on Saturday and I’ve got the pictures to prove it. As you may know the Contender armada was only a few points away from the team overall lead going into Saturday so keep an eye out to see if we made the leap.

Thunder from Down under Dylan in the mix

Is Reed wearing sweat pants in this picture?
Here’s a cool video from last weekend. It’s got a bunch of Contender folks in it.
UTCX 5 – Wheeler Farm from Grizzly Adam on Vimeo.
The Contender crew came out of the gate swinging at The Weber Fairgrounds. It seemed that every race I saw there was black and green in it racing for a high place. I took some video of the A race start too it’s a little shaky but I think they’ll get better every week. Check out the evidence.

Tony Church is in it to win it

You know him, you love him... Darrell "Dr Cross" Davis!
This is a crazy video. The video even made it on to the Today Show yesterday morning. It is amazing that this guy walked away for this. I can’t believe the guy taking the video had a response of “holy cow!”. I am pretty sure I would have said something else.
We all like to watch them and never want to be in any of them. Crashes are the Jersey shore of cycling. It’s painful to watch and we feel glad we’re not involved with them but we can’t stop watching. By the way isn’t Jersey shore in like it’s 4th season?
The latest installment.
