I felt like this on Shoreline this morning……

Cavendish got nothing on Pee Wee

by Patrick, 9 May, 2012

Remember this one? If you saw the crash from the Giro the other day you should know that Cavendish and the bunch aren’t the only ones to hit deck. Pee Wee did too.

Tommeke, Tommeke, Tommeke

by alisonl, 10 April, 2012

I resisted after Flanders but I just can’t resist after Roubiax. I have to post the Tom Boonen song. Tommeke, Tommeke, Tommeke…. You have to love the Belgians and the beats…..

Don’t try this at home… or anywhere for that matter

by Patrick, 9 April, 2012

Check out this crazy video. We’ve all seen intense downhill videos before but this one’s one for the books. I recommend wearing a helmet just to watch it.

The world is going to end in 2012 anyway, might as well live it up.

Remembering Matt Bradley at the RMR

by Patrick, 26 March, 2012

As you may know a member of the Cycling Community was lost this week. Matt Bradley was a cyclist who participated in many forms of cycling and rode and competed very often. In honor of him the Saturday Crit had a one legged lap. Check out the footage of the first lap as well as the race to follow.

Diesel engine Jason Castor made the break of the day but had the flat tire gods deal him a heavy hand of deflation. The rest of the usual faces are in there and you may find it somewhat easy to pick out a certain gentleman with a very bright helmet. Later Stevie Wonder was quoted as saying “man that helmet is bright”

There’s thills, chills, and spills

Work with what you got

Here’s a lesson for all you kids out there. Think your bike is tough? Check out what this one goes through.

Great Scott!

by Patrick, 6 March, 2012

The north American Handmade Bicycles show is going on and that means crazy classic titanium, steel, and in this case stainless steel. The 80′s was not lost on one particular bike maker. A few of these road bikes went for the use of stainless steel just like the Delorean from Back to the future. No word though if the maker was Huey Lewis.

1.21 jigga watts!

When this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you’re going to see some serious sh*t

For old times sake

We’ve all had one of these

by Patrick, 27 February, 2012

Spring is slowly starting to enter everyone’s head (although as I write it will undoubtedly snow again) and that means riding one’s bicycles outside with great joy. Over in Euro land they do a little thing called racing bicycles. In fact this time of year the Belgium semi classics are under way. They are great races that offer long courses, rough roads, and interesting drama. They are also a lead up into the biggest races of the Spring Like Tour of Flanders and Paris Roubaix. Check out the video from this last weekend. Lars Boom who usually sports a pretty great Euro mullet hits the deck in a way I think we’ve all had the opportunity to do.

So who’s good this year? That’s what these races can give us a little hint about. Who’s strong, who’s suffering, who’s too strong too early, who’s talking trash, who’s hot, who’s not? All good questions. What do you think? Does Boonen have a good spring in his legs this year? Can Gillbert repeat his awesome spring from last year? Is Cancellara still the man of steal? And will George Hincapie do anything besides give us a mundane interview before and after the race about how the first one across the line usually wins?
