For the big canyons surrounding us here in Utah few things are better on a long climb than the days you feel light as a feather. For those days it would hardly matter what you were riding, for all the rest few bikes can compete with Cervelo’s R-series bikes. Their scant weight it apparent upon first glance, with svelte seat stays that originally had sceptics questions the sanity of engineers/designers Gerard Vroomen and Phil White. Yet over the years the weight savings and improved ride quality achieved by this design has seen countless competitors attempt to replicate the combination of low weight and stiffness offered by Cervelo’s designs. Needless to say, Cervelo’s R2, R3 or R5 can help take the edge off even the highest gravity day. 2016 sees Cervelo’s first foray into an endurance oriented bike with the C5, and biased on the impeccable bikes already in their line we can wait to get our hands on some.
