To many, the Pinarello Dogma F8 is the finest bike frame produced. From the beautifully sculpted aerodynamic tubing, to the legendary ride quality, the F8 offers Tour de France winning performance with all-day-riding comfort. To further improve the performance of the Dogma, Pinarello engineered a new disc brake version of the fabled Dogma F8. At a minimal weight penalty, the F8 can now maximize the benefits of hydraulic disc brakes. The new Pinarello Dogma F8 Disc Frameset is primed for a technically advanced, future-proofed dream bike build.
The Dogma F8 Disc is based closely on the standard Dogma F8. Aerodynamics were a key focus with the latest Dogma build – ensuring no watts are wasted to the wind. The stiffness and sure-footed handling that has made the Dogma famous remain, as well. Now, the addition of disc brakes allows for several performance benefits. First, braking control goes through the roof. Gone are the days of pulsing, squealing, and grabbing resulting from imperfect brake tracks. Second, safety concerns from long descents on carbon rims go away – disc brakes use specially designed rotors, brake pads, and hydraulic fluid, to ensure safe stopping, even after miles and miles of hard braking. And finally, the move away from rim brakes means wheel manufacturers can optimize rim design for low weight, aerodynamics, and strength, instead of braking performance.
The new 2017 Pinarello Dogma F8 Disc is available in 5 colors, and in sizes ranging from 42cm to 62cm. Pinarello has updated the F8 Disc to accept 12mm thru-axle hubs front and rear, and flat-mount disc brake calipers. The F8 Disc uses a traditional Italian-threaded standard bottom bracket, and comes with frame, fork, headset, and seatpost.
