7Mesh in the (Contender) House

You may have seen 7Mesh years ago in the shop. We jumped on board as we knew the folks behind the brand would produce high quality and technical clothing with subtle style. They did indeed live up to our expectations. Coming from British Columbia, the clothing nailed the needs of the riders of Pacific Northwest. Problem was the needs of riders from the Pacific Northwest vary greatly from the needs of riders in our Utah desert. Think July riding with rain jackets in tow and temperatures in low 70s versus drier than dry air and temps north of 100. You get the idea. So you can imagine 7Mesh’s original time at the shop was short lived. However as the brand has evolved they have taken a more full circle approach to the needs of all cyclists and just not those living in a certain climate. Recently when looking at the brand again, we found some pieces that we thought would fill a nice void in our current offerings and are pieces relevant to our riding style here in Utah. Of course we were pleased to see that 7Mesh is still producing high quality and technical apparel with subtle style. We curated a selection of their apparel that we are excited to now be stocking.

While 7Mesh calls out this jersey in both their mountain & gravel lines, we like to call it out as an adventure jersey (as long as you have cargo space on your bike or in a bag). Made with a mixture of smooth merino wool and poly blend, this Desperado Henley stays fresh after a long day on the bike and the antimicrobial properties of the merino make the top perfect for the campsite or apres ride beverage.

Gone are the days of referring to all mountain shorts as baggies. The 7Mesh Farside Short exemplifies this and is perfect for the trail or gravel road. Slim fitting yet cut to have full range of motion, the short smoothly fits over your favorite liner or lycra padded short. Plus the weight of this short is perfect for our hot and dry summers. Lightweight and breathable, the shorts still provide durability with thoughtful construction.

The 7Mesh Sight Shirt keeps it simple on the trail. With a lightweight heathered fabric, this is more than your typical polyester tech tee. With a thoughtfully patterned design and a discrete small zippered pocket on the back, the jersey works all day on the trail and still looks fresh for a quick post-ride stop for a bite or a beverage.

As a flagship piece in the 7Mesh line, the Glidepath Short is 7Mesh’s dedicated mountain short. Built with durability in mind, the short features durable water repellent stretch fabric that is still lightweight. With a longer inseam for added coverage and protection, the construction of the short provides for full range of motion giving all the mobility you need on the mountain.
