We’re always excited for bikes of all kinds, but there are a few that really stand out from the bunch. Here’s our list of some of our most-anticipated gravel, mountain bikes, and road bikes of 2020. Don’t see your bike of choice? Comment below!

Gravel/Road

OPEN WI.DE OPEN WI.DE Gravel Bike - Contender Bicycles The OPEN UP made waves in the cycling world, with tons of new bikes that aped OPEN's design language and tech. What's remarkable about the new OPEN WI.DE (or OPEN WIDE) is the increased tire clearance for legit mountain bike tires, without sacrificing the lively handling that the UP is known for. If anything, the only concession it makes is the ability to run a 2x drivetrain, though if you ever hoped to run a Maxxis Minion DHF/DHR combo on a gravel bike (you can here!) you likely don't care anyway. It's like an UP gone crazy, and we're here for it. Cycling Tips says that early prototype URS frames of the were essentially BMC Teamelite hardtail MTBs with an adjusted head angle. The URS is in many ways beefier than BMC's race XC bike (more details in our first look), with features that make tons of sense for a bike designed for playing in the dirt. Excellent ride quality, smart parts kits, and good looks don't hurt either. 2020 BMC URS Unrestricted Gravel Bike Suspension - Contender Bicycles Pinarello Dogma F12 2020 Pinarello Dogma F12 Custom - Contender Bicycles Ah, the Pinarello Dogma F12, the road bike that not everyone needs, but what everyone wants. (First Look HERE) This newest version sees its cables completely hidden in the name of aerodynamics, alongside useful improvements in stiffness, weight, and aerodynamics. There are plenty of road bikes that match (or exceed) the Dogma in raw data, but few bikes feel as analog. Even this newest iteration urges the rider to pedal faster, corner harder, and ride longer than they usually would. Maybe it's about how good it looks, maybe it's the name on the downtube; we think all of the above makes this bike what it is today. 2020 Pinarello Dogma F12 Details - Contender Bicycles

SCOTT Spark RC World Cup Silverfish 2020 SCOTT Spark RC 900 World Cup N1NO Silverfish - Contender Bicycles The SCOTT Spark has a legion of fans, much of it thanks to Nino Schurter, an 8x UCI XC World Champion, 7x UCI XC Overall World Champion, and winner of Gold at the 2016 Olympics. He dropped a bombshell on his Instagram feed in mid-2019 by the name of the SCOTT Spark RC Nino Edition Silverfish. Quite a mouthful, but these special edition Spark RC framesets receive custom-painted cranks, brakes, and brake calipers to match the beautiful Spark RC sillouette. 2020 SCOTT Spark RC 900 World Cup N1NO Silverfish Edition Frameset - Contender Bicycles SCOTT Genius 900 Tuned AXS 2020 SCOTT Genius 900 Tuned AXS - Contender Bicycles Another SCOTT, and it's the 2020 Genius 900 Tuned AXS! Unlike much of the competition, the Genius can switch from 29" to 27.5" wheels with nothing more than the flip of a chip. No need to change the fork, all you need to do is flip a chip at the rear shock, change your wheels and off you go. Syncros Revelstoke carbon wheels, a SRAM AXS drivetrain and FOX Kashima suspension round out the build making this bike one of the most versatile options around. The painted to match Syncros Hixon integrated bar tops off the build adding stiffness and serious style. 2020 SCOTT Genius 900 Tuned SRAM AXS - Contender Bicycles Orbea Occam 2020 Orbea Occam Mountain Bike - Contender Bicycles The Orbea Occam feels like a good do-everything mountain bike. There's enough suspension travel for just about everyone, it climbs well-enough to enjoy all-day rides, and it manages to be lighter than most trail bikes on the market too. Add in a choice of aluminum or carbon frames, MyO custom paint options, and a starting price of $2600, and the Occam is a trail bike we love to recommend. 2020 Orbea Occam Rear Suspension Linkage - Contender Bicycles Have any questions about the six hottest bikes on our list?
