No Puns Allowed Around This Fox Live Valve and SRAM AXS SCOTT Genius Build

We here at Contender love low-hanging fruit as much as anyone else, but it takes all of our willpower to avoid using the many puns and idioms possible when talking about the SCOTT Genius. It's particularly hard with this Fox Live Valve and SRAM AXS-equipped Genius, as its combination of high tech and top-notch trail performance make for an awfully brainy choice. Scott Genius Ultimate Fox Live SRAM AXS - Contender Bicycles SCOTT mountain bikes are typically equipped with their Twinloc lever, which can adjust the fork and rear shock between three different suspension settings depending on your trail. As much as we like Twinloc, the Fox Live Valve suspension on the Genius takes it up a notch. Essentially, Live Valve senses the position of the bike as well as trail conditions to figure out whether the suspension should be locked out or not. This electronic system uses sensors on both the fork and rear end to measure needs 1000 times per second, giving a just-right suspension feel all over the trail. If it senses an incoming impact, the Live Valve opens within 3 milliseconds. In essence, the suspension is in the best possible setting for the rider at all times. This Genius is equipped with the new SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS drivetrain, which we've covered at length earlier this year. Needless to say, Eagle AXS set the new standard for drivetrains in terms of user-friendliness, connectivity, and simplicity. Scott Genius Ultimate SRAM AXS FOX Live - Contender Bicycles The companion Rockshox Reverb AXS seatpost is their best dropper post they've ever made. Not only is its function super fast and precise, but the new Vent Valve ensures ideal performance all the time, and the AXS wireless technology offers a ton of cockpit customization and extremely simple setup. The Reverb AXS is one of, if not the best, dropper posts on the market. All of this tech is built atop the reliable SCOTT Genius chassis, here based off of the 2019 SCOTT Genius 900 Ultimate. We find the frame to have excellent balance for a trail bike, as its balanced rider positioning that feels much more agile than it's 150 mm suspension travel indicates. The Genius is known to be a lightweight chassis too, and this frame, with its HMX carbon, allows the bike to weigh in at under 27 pounds complete. Part of that is the Syncros Revelstoke 1.0 carbon wheels, part of that is the trick Syncros Hixon iC SL one-piece handlebar that makes steering more direct for easier wheel placement on the trail, and part of that is the new Shimano XTR M9100 brakes, which manage to be lightweight, powerful, and have excellent modulation. Fox Live Front & Rear Suspension - Scott Genius Ultimate - Contender Bicycles We've come this far in avoiding perceived pun pitfalls, and that's due to how cool this build is. There are times when a company's cleverness can be too much: too complicated, too difficult to maintain, and too expensive. While there's no arguing this build's cost-effectiveness, this custom SCOTT Genius highlights the ease of use of the future of mountain biking. Put together, we think that this tech makes this build a true... stroke of genius.
