TIME to Hit the Road: the TIME Frameset Sale

Written by Contender Bicycles, on March 03, 2021

There is a certain allure to building up a bicycle all your own. Building a custom bicycle gives riders the opportunity to build a bike that reflects individual tastes, needs, and wants. Above all else, it requires a caring eye to ensure that the overall package is cohesive and meets those needs. That’s where we come in.

TIME Scylon, Alpe D'Huez, Fluidity frames

Until supplies last, find unbeatable savings on a number of TIME road bikes, including the Alpe d’Huez, TIME Scylon, and TIME Fluidity. Not sure how to build up a TIME frame? We can help, from making suggestions to sourcing components, to building the bike up with precision. To get ideas flowing as to how you can build up your TIME, check out a few of our suggested builds.

TIME Alpe d’Huez 01

TIME’s latest and greatest, the TIME Alpe d’Huez 01, is geared for climbing. It’s the Goldilocks; if the Scylon is the racer, and the Fluidity is the all-day bike, the TIME Alpe d’Huez 01 is the bike that does both with aplomb. At just 840 grams for a frame, the Alpe d’Huez manages to be nearly as stiff as the Scylon with the same geometry, but its skinnier tubes make it a worthwhile companion on all-day events with a ride quality matched by few bikes. Pictured above is the Alpe d’Huez 01 Aktiv in Red.

TIME Alpe d’Huez 21

If the Alpe d’Huez 01 is the very best of what TIME can make, then the Alpe d’Huez 21 is the brand bringing its expert craftsmanship to the masses with minimal compromises. TIME simplifies its RTM carbon layup slightly in building the Alpe d’Huez 21 and swaps to a standard 27.2mm seatpost and more standard headset. The end result is a frame that weighs in at 930g but still retains the flair and performance that comes with the TIME Alpe d’Huez name. Above is the Alpe d’Huez 21 Aktiv in Grey/White/Red.

TIME Scylon

The TIME Scylon is the pick of the bunch for those looking for the utmost in pedaling stiffness and direct handling. Its RTM carbon frame uses over 3km of carbon weave to form it into a cavalcade of aero tubes that offer massive solidness without being unyieldingly stiff. All told, the Scylon feels composed at high speeds where others might feel unsettled. Above is the Scylon Aktiv in White.

TIME Fluidity

Smoothness reigns supreme with the TIME Fluidity. It builds off of the brand’s race geometry by adding a 10-15mm taller headtube depending on size, as well as a custom carbon layup. Utilizing the French brand’s RTM carbon layup, the Fluidity seeks to have superior vibration damping in each strand of carbon woven into its frame. As a result, it sops up chip seal and rougher roads with ease largely unmatched in the road cycling world. Above is the TIME Fluidity in their France colorway.

All of the above framesets are available with a choice between standard and Aktiv forks.

  • Joe,
unfortunately, we don’t have any Fluidity Disc frames in stock. I would recommend taking a look at the TIME Alpe d’Huez 01 Aktiv Disc we have in stock. Otherwise, if you’re cool looking at other brands, the OPEN MIND in many ways is an updated version of the Fluidity. That frame is awesome.

  • Do you have any Time Fluidity with disc brake in 55.5 medium? What do the Time water bottle cages look like in carbon? Thanks

  • Nick,

thanks for reaching out about TIME road bikes. We have a few framesets that meet your criteria of a rim brake, size 54cm, endurance-oriented road bike.
We have a TIME Fluidity in size medium and a Fluidity Aktiv in size medium as well. I like the Fluidity Aktiv more, if only because the France color scheme is seriously beautiful.

  • Daniel,
We unfortunately don’t have anything that meets all of your criteria. You might look at a SCOTT Addict Gravel, OPEN UP, Giant Revolt, Cannondale Topstone Carbon, or BMC URS, all of which can meet what you’re looking for, just not at $4000. Best of luck!
