Tough, Tenacious, Determined: Demo the Lauf True Grit in Park City
Tough, tenacious, determined, gritty. Words by which to describe the Icelandic people. With a population of just 335,000 people, Iceland is predominantly a country whose weather is most kindly described as "variable." One moment there might be clear skies and warm weather; the next moment, there might be a heavy dust storms and serious winds that make you consider whether riding bikes is even fun. It's here that Lauf Cycling thrives, and it's here for which the Lauf True Grit gravel bike is tailor made. Now is your chance to demo the True Grit gravel bike and put it through the paces in Park City. Our rides start and end from our Contender Park City location, and all are welcome to join. Want to reserve a True Grit for yourself? Give us a call during shop hours, or email Cody at email@example.com. We're happy to set you up. Now you're probably thinking, "Iceland might be home to more strongman competitors than anywhere, but what does this bike have to do with riding bikes in Park City? I already have a road bike and a mountain bike." Well, that's the point of the True Grit. It's aggressive positioning, clearance for 45c tires, and remarkable 30mm suspension fork make for a bike that is engaging on road, off road, and everywhere in between. Ride it on the road up to your favorite gravel road or singletrack, and let it shred on the descent. That's the beauty of a bike like this, and one where only Iceland can produce something as unique as this. The Lauf True Grit's Grit SL fork is a modern marvel. It's rarely perceptible on the road (in the best way possible), and makes the bike feel surprisingly planted and stable on rutty singletrack. But it's value is best understood when you hop back on a bike with a rigid fork, and realize how much the carbon leaf springs make a difference. It's an excellent proposition as an all-road bike. Hopefully by now you're thinking, "I NEED to ride this bike." You're in luck! We'll have a full size run of seven Lauf True Grit gravel bikes (1 SM, 4 MD, 2 LG) for testing in the beautiful Park City mountains July 7th and July 8th, straight out of Reykjavik.
