If you’re reading this, it’s in large part because of Carlos. Our e-commerce manager also played a huge role in our recent rebuild of ContenderBicycles.com. Carlos calls Park City home, but came to Utah from Illinois a few years ago and is addicted to fat bike loops at Round Valley. With too many hobbies to list, Carlos is a photography nut and a musician when he’s not riding or selling bikes.

Hometown: Sterling Illinois

Current Favorite Bike: Otso Voytek fat bike tied with a TIME Skylon with a “k"

Dream Bike: Pinarello Dogma F12 - Rode a demo bike. It just gets me. Good reach, stable self-driving wheelbase. And anything JoBo is riding. I would like a titanium bike. It will complete my frame materials bingo card.

Fun Fact: I used to play in bar bands and had hair down to the middle of my back. This was a low point in my cycling life as late nights were not good for biking the next day. I eventually cut my hair and joined a country band as a country guitar player. Yes, a country guitar player. It was the very definition of “Fake it 'til you make it” as I don’t really consider myself a guitar player – more “fake” than “make it”. It was the best-paying music gig I ever had. I never wore a cowboy hat. Just a plaid RockShox Judy hat.
