Product Description
The all new Orbea Rise M-LTD is a ground-breaking full suspension, pedal assist mountain bike. By redefining the class standard with an ultra-lightweight complete bike the Rise M-LTD will blow away any expectations you may have had for e-mountain bikes.
Using a brand new powertrain, the Shimano EP8 motor and battery tube, the Orbea Rise M-LTD electric trail bike weighs a tiny 35 pounds.
Yes. You read that right. A full suspension, electric pedal assist mountain bike that weighs as much as many standard mountain bikes on the market. THIRTY FIVE POUNDS.
The lightweight motor comes with a smaller battery, but don’t let its size scare you. The motor needs less energy to move a lighter bike, meaning fewer watts for the same result. With an available range-extending battery mounted to the frame like a water bottle cage, Orbea claims a maximum range of eight hours and 4,000 meters of climbing in eco mode. Your results will vary depending on style of riding.
The Shimano EP8 is not just lightweight, it’s an evolution of technology. With customizable rider profiles, you can ‘preprogram’ the type of assist you want. If you need a harder workout while using a pedal assist to help you move, set Profile A to your specific tastes in a variety of ways. Profile B can be your recovery ride profile. The Orbea Rise M-LTD is a blank canvas and you are the artist.
The customizability is detailed down to your preferred assist start level. Choose a subtle assist level to kick in after a more natural feeling start, or tell the motor to kick in immediately so you feel the pure power of sweet speed from the second you start pedaling.
Designed to provide peak pedal assist at 80-90 rotations per minute, the Orbea Rise M-LTd is created to be a ride enhancer. Using what Orbea calls the Riders Synergy Concept, RS for short, the bike is engineered to feel as natural as possible. A low weight is a start, but the subtle features of the EP8 motor and sensors create a ride that might help you forget you’ve got a little boost coming from a battery.
The Orbea Rise M-LTD is a top end mountain bike in every way. Loaded up with a Shimano XTR 1x12 speed drivetrain and ultra plush Fox Float DPS Factory shock and Fox 34 Float Factory fork with 140mm travel front and back.
Maxxis Rekon tires on a set of durable alloy wheels keep you rolling smoothly.
When you need to mix up your geometry to optimize climbing and descending, a Fox Transfer Factory Kashima dropper post has you covered.
The game has changed when it comes to full suspension pedal assist mountain bikes and Orbea is at the forefront.

FAQs
Question: How many hours can I expect to get out of a full charge?
Answer: In Eco mode you can expect to get 8 hours of battery life off of a full charge. This roughly equates to 4,000 meters of climbing. If you’re a real grinder, and 8 hour bike rides are merely childsplay, add the Orbea Range Extender to gain an additional 2 hours at maximum power assist. Do note, the battery estimations are terrain dependent. If you’re gunning it up a 10% climb at maximum power assist, your battery will drain at a faster rate.
Question: How heavy is the Orbea Rise?
Answer: The top of the line Orbea Rise M-LTD hits the scale at a more than impressive 16.2kg (35.71lbs). As we move down to lower prices, the weight increases. However, we've found that all iterations of the Orbea Rise pedal and feel like you’re on a mountain bike. Avoid the Frankenstienian tank-like feeling that is common of other e-MTBs with the Orbea Rise.
Question: Does the Orbea Rise ride like a mountain bike?
Answer: The geometry of the Rise is based off of its non eMTB counterpart, the Orbea Occam trail mountain bike. The addition of the motor necessitated stretching the chainstay from 440mm to 445mm. This is advantageous in making the Rise slightly more stable than the Occam, but it is still a very playful ride. Do note, 5mm isn’t going to throw the Rise into a different category of bikes.
