The Colnago eGRV uses a carbon frame that shares its geometry with the non-assist Colnago GRV gravel bike. The standard GRV is known for its sharp handling, peppy acceleration, and balanced feel that makes you want to ride for miles and miles. Fortunately, Colnago was able to carry what we appreciated in that bike while improving its capability. It now fits a 700 x 40c with plenty of space for something wider, while adding a third bottle cage mount to the downtube and a rack-mount as well.

For all intents and purposes, the standard Colnago GRV gravel bike has geometry and handling on the sporty side of the spectrum. Its handling is quick enough, but there’s plenty of stability to be found in how it rides. It’s just not a slacked-out full-time touring bike, that’s for sure. It’ll feel just right for anyone coming from a road bike background, as its overall peppy feel will excite just about anyone.

Like other Ebikemotion-equipped electric bikes, the Colnago eGRV uses a rear hub-mounted motor with 250 W power, 40 Nm torque, uses a 250 Wh battery housed in the downtube, and is controlled by a small button in the top tube. We've seen up to 80 miles range on a charge with substantial climbing, though most people should expect in the 30-60 mile range. A 208 Wh range extender battery pack mounts to a bottle cage and effectively doubles the range. Assist is smooth and natural and feels more like a standard bike than just about anything that uses a mid-mounted drive unit.

The Colnago eGRV GRX features a lightweight carbon frame and Ebikemotion X35 drive unit. It is paired to a Shimano GRX 11-speed mechanical drivetrain, using an 11-34t cassette and 48-31t crankset. Mavic Aksium UST wheels, Colnago carbon seatpost, Deda Gravel 100 handlebars, and WTB Riddler 700 x 37c tires complete the build. The eGRV is available in five sizes, two colors and is also offered in a GRX Di2 build.
