Contender Kit

Spring is here and instead of a parking lot sale, we’re just going to blow out some of our marked down items via the social-distance-internet. We’re also anticipating some fresh arrivals of 2021 season goodies so we want to hasten the departure of our 2020 gear. Check out our collection of sale-priced apparel and rep your favorite shop when you’re on your bike.

The Contender Bicycle shop jerseys are available in a variety of styles and sizes. The Contender logo marks a bright contrast with the stylish blue herringbone pattern on road jerseys, mountain shirts, bibshorts and more.

Between our two short sleeve Contender Bicycles jerseys, the 2020 Contender Bicycles Summer PRR Jersey is geared towards those looking for a lightweight all-around jersey. It's weighted carbon fiber fabric offers an incredible 40 threads/cm weave, better coverage and elasticity, better muscle compression, and superb wicking capability. The contour fit includes elastic bands strategically placed on the topside of the sleeves, on the front of the waist and at the back waist to prevent slipping.

As an all-around jersey, the Contender Bicycles Jersey PRR is an ideal choice for the hottest of days, and good for temperatures above 60 degrees Fahrenheit. It features a race cut with a shorter collar than our other jerseys; those on the fence on sizing ought to size up.

Pinarello Grevil

Pinarello Grevil Sale

The Pinarello Grevil seems to capture the imagination like few other bikes. Its swoopy curvaceousness stands in stark contrast to the straight lines and edges proliferating through the cycling industry. Further, it's standing as the Dogma of gravel and off road, which is probably why we've appreciated it so much. Obvious to just about anyone who looks into these bikes, a premium product demands a premium price, at least until now.

Until supplies last, find unmatched pricing on Pinarello Grevil and Grevil+ framesets at Contender Bicycles. Not sure how to build up your Grevil? We can help, from making suggestions to sourcing components to building up your dream bike with precision.

We've waxed poetic in the past about the Pinarello Grevil HERE and we've had even more opportunities to test the "Full Gas Everywhere" catchphrase emblazoned on every Grevil. But what we like the most about this gravel bike how eager the bike is to go farther and faster. It feels responsive to a stomp of the pedals, carries speed on road descents with ease, and can still tiptoe through tight singletrack hairpins with minimal fuss. The Grevil is a gravel bike only Pinarello could make, with a go-anywhere attitude that leaves riders wanting to ride more and more.

The Grevil, like our other frameset sales from TIME and otherwise, is available while supplies last at an excellent price. Select from framesets or complete builds featuring Shimano Ultegra RX and SRAM Force 1.

TIME Alpe d’Huez 01

TIME’s latest and greatest, the TIME Alpe d’Huez 01, is geared for climbing. It’s the Goldilocks; if the Scylon is the racer, and the Fluidity is the all-day bike, the TIME Alpe d’Huez 01 is the bike that does both with aplomb. At just 840 grams for a frame, the Alpe d’Huez manages to be nearly as stiff as the Scylon with the same geometry, but its skinnier tubes make it a worthwhile companion on all-day events with a ride quality matched by few bikes. Pictured above is the Alpe d’Huez 01 Aktiv in Red.

TIME Alpe d’Huez 21

If the Alpe d’Huez 01 is the very best of what TIME can make, then the Alpe d’Huez 21 is the brand bringing its expert craftsmanship to the masses with minimal compromises. TIME simplifies its RTM carbon layup slightly in building the Alpe d’Huez 21 and swaps to a standard 27.2mm seatpost and more standard headset. The end result is a frame that weighs in at 930g but still retains the flair and performance that comes with the TIME Alpe d’Huez name. Above is the Alpe d’Huez 21 Aktiv in Grey/White/Red.

TIME Scylon

The TIME Scylon is the pick of the bunch for those looking for the utmost in pedaling stiffness and direct handling. Its RTM carbon frame uses over 3km of carbon weave to form it into a cavalcade of aero tubes that offer massive solidness without being unyieldingly stiff. All told, the Scylon feels composed at high speeds where others might feel unsettled. Above is the Scylon Aktiv in White.

TIME Fluidity

Smoothness reigns supreme with the TIME Fluidity. It builds off of the brand’s race geometry by adding a 10-15mm taller headtube depending on size, as well as a custom carbon layup. Utilizing the French brand’s RTM carbon layup, the Fluidity seeks to have superior vibration damping in each strand of carbon woven into its frame. As a result, it sops up chip seal and rougher roads with ease largely unmatched in the road cycling world. Above is the TIME Fluidity in their France colorway.

All of the above framesets are available with a choice between standard and Aktiv forks.
