To give you an extra advantage zooming up the trails, the 2018 Orbea WILD 20 houses a Bosch Performance CX motor with Bosch’s 500Wh battery. The motor is angled upwards in the frame for better ground clearance and there’s an alloy bash guard to protect it from the hits of rocks, roots and other trail debris. You get better pedal clearance, too,thanks to the 152mm cranks, shorter than a standard mountain bike set-up, which are also optimized for a faster pedal cadence that works better with the bike’s motor assistance.
Following current trends, the Orbea Wild 20 uses 27.5″+ wheels with 40mm rims and 2.8″ Kenda tires. You get excellent traction and cushion without needing to jump all the way to a 29″ wheel size. The Orbea Wild 20 also uses 148mm rear / 110mm front Boost spacing to accommodate wider sized tires, should you want to jump to a larger tire size. To further enhance the cushioned ride of the bike, up front is a 120mm Fox 32 fork with a three position damping lever to adjust the fork’s response as you ride.
Using a more performance-oriented geometry with its sturdy hydro-formed aluminum frame, the Orbea Wild 20 puts you in an aggressive position for fast, fun times on the trails. The bike also includes Orbea’s Digit seatpost system which allows you to set a top and bottom limit so it’s easy to drop your seat down or pick it up depending on your position on the trail. To help you generate power, the bike uses an 11-speed Shimano XT with matching hydraulic brakes to help carry you across even the most technical of trails. Finishing off the kit is a mix of Race Face and FSA brand of components.
The Orbea Wild 20 is available in three sizes, Small, Medium, and Large. It is only available in the color Blue-Black (Gloss-Satin).
