It didn’t take long for Pinarello to become one of the premier bicycle brands in the triathlon world. The company known for creating some of the world’s fastest road bikes debuted their first ever triathlon-specific bike at the Kona Ironman Championships in 2018. Australian triathlete Cameron Wurf set a new Kona bike course record with the help of his Pinarello Bolide, crushing the previous record by 5 minutes. New for 2019, the Pinarello Bolide TR and TR+ are two of the most hyped-up and anticipated triathlon bikes on the market – and for good reason.
As a triathlon-specific bike, Pinarello designed the Bolide without those pesky UCI restrictions. Building on the success of the Bolide TT, Pinarello made some adjustments to the frame geometry to better accommodate triathletes. Compared to the Bolide TT, the TR a longer head tube, lower bottom bracket, and steepened seat tube angle. The depth of the fork blades were also increased for greater aerodynamic flow. To top it all off, the integrated storage matches the shape of the down tube and seat tube, allowing for maximum aerodynamic flow.
Offered in 4 sizes in black or red, the 2019 Pinarello TR Frameset is available now as one of the fastest tri bikes around. We also offer the Pinarello Bolide TR equipped with a Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset, check it out here. Have any questions about the 2019 Pinarello Bolide TR Frameset?
