The Pinarello FCX cyclocross frameset was already pretty darn good. The race-ready frameset was perfect for tight cross courses, with typically-Euro cx bike geometry. It was a quick handler, and was the go-to for anyone looking to replicate typical Pinarello performance through sand pits and mud. The new for 2019 Pinarello Crossista frameset took their top-grade platform and improves on it in every way.
Two grades of carbon are available, with the standard Crossista using their Toray T700 carbon. Like most other Pinarello frames, this bike was designed around their Think Asymmetric philosophy, with material and tubing sizes different based on what areas receive the most stress. As such, the drive side chainstay is considerably larger than the non drive side for improved responsiveness. Pinarello have also included an asymmetric top tube skewed to the right side to better accommodate shouldering the bike, as any cyclocross enthusiast must do during a race. Other features include a comfort-specific seatpost from the Dogma K10, Flexstays (also from the Dogma K10), and space for up a 700 x 42c tire.
The 2019 Pinarello Crossista frameset is available in six sizes (48-57 cm). While it is available as a frameset, Pinarello offers three builds, and two framesets. We also offer custom builds with competitive pricing to suit your specific riding style. We expect the Crossista to be available starting mid-March 2019.
