The Santa Cruz Nomad A is an excellent aluminum bike that can tackle any downhill trail while not holding you back on all-mountain trails. Thanks to Santa Cruz’s recent geometry redesign, the Nomad can act as a great gravity bike without sacrificing efficiency while riding uphill.
This was achieved thanks to a 75-degree seat tube angle that helped optimize pedaling efficiency while climbing. The Nomad A also features a longer reach than prior models to help you shift your weight forward into the bike for improved handling and traction. Lastly, the bike is built to hold up for years thanks to bolt on downtube protectors that are replaceable after taking abuse on your favorite trails. A shock fender is also found on the front of the bike to help keep mud, dust and dirt away from your suspension.
The Santa Cruz Nomad A is available in two build configurations:
- The first build kit known as build kit “R” is $3599 and includes a SRAM NX 1×12 drivetrain, RockShox suspension, a RaceFace Aeffect Crank, SRAM Guide RE hydraulic brakes, WTB rims and a RaceFace Aeffect Dropper Seatpost.
- The second build kit known as build kit “S” is $4299 and includes a SRAM GX Eagle 1×12 drivetrain, RockShox Suspension, SRAM Code R hydraulic brakes, Race Face AR wheels and a RockShox Reverb Stealth Dropper Seatpost.
