The Cannondale SuperX cyclocross bike has long been the de facto choice for cx riders looking for a light, fast, and aggressive cyclocross bike that could be happy riding outside of it’s scope of cyclocross. After two generations, this third generation of the 2020 Cannondale SuperX Women’s Force 1 CX bike is “the new boss”, bringing greater traction, huge mud clearance, and stable handling in an ultralight package.
The SuperX uses a full carbon frame and fork with internal cable/hose routing for everything.
BallisTec carbon construction (just as is used on their mountain bikes), System Integrated cranks. An Ai dish rear wheel allows super short chainstays but plenty of clearance for up to a 40c tire. Rear end also features the SAVE Micro-Suspension technology in the rear triangle to help the bike track through rough terrain and keep the power down on the trails.
Cannondale does quite a bit to tout their OutFront Steering Geometry, which pairs a relatively high fork rake (55mm) with a slack head angle. As such, the SuperX tracks well at high speeds over rough courses, as well as good stability on technical descents without sacrificing much (if anything) at lower speeds.
The 2020 Cannondale SuperX Women’s Force 1 CX bike features a BallisTec carbon frame, a Shimano Ultegra R8000 Di2 1x drivetrain, and a Cannondale HollowGram Si carbon clincher wheelset. A Cannondale HollowGram Si crankset ties together the Cannondale SAVE carbon seatpost, a Cannondale alloy bar and stem, and Vittoria Terreno Mix TNT 33c tires. The SuperX is available in six sizes (46 – 61 cm).
