Please note that the product photo does not exactly represent our Contender-exclusive 3T Exploro LTD SRAM Force eTap AXS 1x Bike build.
Gerard Vroomen has put his Gravel Plus concept to great use here too, and in doing so allowing the rider – using one set of 700c wheels – to run their choice of road tires, from 23-40mm wide, to rugged cyclocross rubber with ample clearance for either. This design can also run a set of 27.5 mountain bike wheels with up to a 2.2 inch knobby, giving you the chance to ride a road bike where there is no road. Offered as a frame and fork only, there are almost endless options in building your Exploro to best suit your needs. Dirt drop bar with 2-inch knobbies? No problem. Supple 40c tires, Di2 shifting and ENVE aero bars? Can do.
The frame in questions is the 3T Exploro LTD gravel bike frameset. This features 3T’s ultralight layup in both the frame and 3T Fango fork, cutting 200 grams compared to the Exploro Team frameset.
The Exploro is all about versatility, so we’ve hand-selected parts that offer awesome performance for road, cross, gravel, bike packing, or anything that may lie ahead. A SRAM Force eTap AXS 1x drivetrain is at the forefront of shifting technology and paired to a SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS rear derailleur and SRAM XG-1275 10-50t cassette, the group has enough gearing to take you through the steepest climbs and the Monday night road group ride. We also spec our two preferred wheelsets, the Stan’s Grail S1 wheelset for 700c or the Stan’s Arch S1 wheelset for 27.5”, to provide an excellent combination of reliability, stiffness, and low weight. 700c wheels save weight and roll better on smoother surfaces, while the 27.5” mountain bike wheelset offers additional durability for rougher trails, and their extra width gives knobbies better bite and a plusher ride.
Whether you’re heading to Salt Lake City, or prefer we ship your 3T Exploro LTD SRAM Force AXS 1x Bike to you, we’ll do a full, professional bike build, dialing in shifting and braking, truing wheels, etc. If you’re unsure about sizing, give us a call or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to talk through geometry and fit. And although this is a “stock bike,” we are more than happy to discuss options of this build to ensure you receive your perfect bicycle, as well as custom paint options using a 3T Ready to Paint frame.
