The Cannondale Topstone Lefty 1 takes full suspension gravel bikes to a new level. The all new gravel specific Lefty suspension fork with 30mm of travel brings an all new level of performance and comfort. Add in the included 650b x 47c tubless ready tires and you have your self an incredibly capable gravel bike that can handle just about anything your throw at it.
The American brand claimed itself to have the first rear suspension gravel bike on the market with a simple thru-axle pivot that locks the left and right seatstays together. Now with the added front suspension it can truly push for the crown for full suspension gravel bikes. The KingPin pivot floats between two bumpers in the seattube that allow for a total 30 mm travel. They pair this to their signature OutFront geometry, which Cannondale claims “Keeps the steering light and agile, while positioning the wheel further in front of the rider for stability and confidence on rougher stuff.” Add in tight 415 mm chainstays and dropped rear seatstays to further improve compliance, and you have the makings of a zippy, comfortable gravel bike.
Other features within the Cannondale Topstone Carbon include clearance for a 700 x 40c tire or a 650 x 47b tire, both with room to spare. You’ll find multi-position bottle cage mount on the downtube, and bottle top tube, seat tube, and under the down tube. You’ll also find fender mounts, mid-fork mounts, and internal routing for a 27.2 mm dropper post.
The 2020 Cannondale Topstone Carbon Lefty 1 gravel bike is based around a full carbon frame paired to a SRAM Force eTap AXS 12-speed groupset with a Force 40T crank and 10-50t 12spd cassette. Cannondale offers up their Hollowgram 22 carbon fiber wheels (with hubs that use DT Swiss internals) and Hollowgram combined handlebar and stem. A SAVE carbon seatpost, WTB Riddler 700 x 37c tires, and the Cannondale integrated wheel sensor complete the bike. Topstone Carbon is available in five sizes (XS-XL).
