The SRAM Red 22 Rear Derailleur has been upgraded from 10-speed to 11-speed and the performance has never been better. SRAM designed the rear derailleur with technology they call Exact Actuation™ that helps offer efficient, quiet and very precise shifting. The quiet, crisp feel found on the SRAM Red 22 Rear Derailleur is thanks to a hollow titanium anchor bolt that refined tooth geometry of the rear jockey wheel. The chain runs through the rear derailleur a lot smoother than before which makes for a very quiet drivetrain. Thanks to a longer B-knuckle on the new derailleur, shifting the chain into a 28 tooth cog does not hesitate.
Other features include a new spring-fixed barrel adjuster for quick on the fly adjustments, Aeroglide Pulleys™ with ceramic bearings, a chain pulley cage for precise chain management and a WiFLi option. SRAM’s WiFLi technology offers a wider range of gears than your standard triple crankset would offer. With significant weight savings, faster shifts are found through two chainrings in addition to every gear on the rear cassette.
