Snub nose saddles are in people, and for good reason. With a truncated nose, wide overall profile, and middle cutout, riders who find themselves positioned aggressively on the bike feel more planted and move around less than they would on a longer, curved-top saddle. Above else this wider planted profile affords greater stability by offering support where riders spend their time the most. The Syncros Belcarra V 1.5 Saddle is the latest saddle to join the snub nose ranks.
Syncros worked with Gebeomized, a German firm that works with top-level World Cup teams and athletes, both on-road and on-MTB. The Belcarra V is geared toward providing those with an aggressive riding position the saddle shape they need. The Belcarra V 1.5 comes with a carbon fiber-reinforced shell and offers a balance between strength and low weight. Belcarra uses titanium rails for comfort without sacrificing low weight, and a lightweight PU foam provides comfort while the cut out dissipates pressure from sensitive body parts. Belcarra V 1.5 weighs in at just 220 grams.
