The 2021 Santa Cruz Bullit MX-S pedal assist enduro full suspension mountain bike was created for doing one thing multiple times - ripping laps up and down until the sun sets. Shuttles or chair lifts will be things of the past when you hop on this climbing machine that descends like a Bullit.
Descents are almost always a blast, but climbing has always been the least fun part of mountain biking - especially on a larger, heavier bike designed for enduro or pure downhill bombing. The Santa Cruz Bullit aims to change that with its innovative approach to pedal assist technology.
Using a Shimano STEPS EP8 motor and battery pack - considerably lighter and smaller than most mountain bike pedal assist motors - the Santa Cruz Bullit will have you adding hours and laps to your weekend rides.
While the motor is an enormous difference maker, so is the Bullit’s unique approach to ride experience. Loaded up with 170mm travel and a 38mm fork, the Santa Cruz Bullit MX-S optimizes ride experience with a mixed-wheel approach - 29 inches up front for better speed and obstacle crushing, 27.5 in back for better traction and handling capabilities.
A SRAM GX Eagle 1x12 speed drivetrain assures responsive and competent power transfer for the climbs while the Fox 38 Float Performance fork and RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ shock make the bumps and rougher trails a piece of cake to manage. RaceFace ARC HD 30 wheels and Maxxis Double Down tires assure rock solid footing and traction when you need it on the ascent and hold tight to the corners as you descend with no regard to human safety.
A bottom bracket mounted motor keeps the center of gravity firmly in the middle of the bike to prevent slideouts caused by extra mass in the rear hub.
The Santa Cruz Bullit MX-S is a game changer for enduro and downhill riders who want to get in a few extra runs each trip to the mountain but don’t have, or want, the luxury of catching a lift to the top of the trail.
