With all the perks of its carbon framed cousins, the SCOTT Spark 960 brings a championship racing pedigree with a cost-conscious price tag.
When riding cross-country, the ability to seamlessly adapt from one trail condition to the next is imperative. That’s where SCOTT’s TwinLoc Suspension System steps in. With a handlebar mounted switch, you’re able to adjust the rear shock on the fly. On the SCOTT Spark 960, TwinLoc moves the X-Fusion Nude shock from Lockout to 85mm to 120mm of travel at a moment’s notice meaning you’ll maintain speed, traction and comfort no matter the trail.
TwinLoc manages sag effect to change compression damping as well as changes the spring curve to dynamically alter bike geometry. In trail mode, you have dynamically less travel with a firmer shock setting. Lockout mode lets you climb in the most efficient manner possible.
The SCOTT Scale 960 also features a RockShox Judy fork with 130mm front travel which is integrated to the remote system making adjustments easy.
A 1x12 SRAM XT-Deore drivetrain makes sure you accelerate with the best while climbing in comfort. Traction is no problem with the Maxxis Rekon tires and Syncros X-25 wheels. Equipped with 2.4 inch tires out of the box, the SCOTT Spark 960 has plenty of room for chunkier 2.6 inch tires if desired.
All said, the SCOTT Spark 960 is race ready, budget friendly and eye catching in Red or Dark Gray. Visit the shop, give us a call, or hit us up with an email anytime for more information at info@contenderbicycles.com.
