Colnago GRV Ultegra Gravel Bike

Product Description

Many think of Colnago as a road-specific bicycle brand, but they've made bikes designed for the dirt for years. Wout van Aert won the 2016 cyclocross world championships on a Colnago, but legends such as Lars Boom and Sven Nys also won world championship titles aboard Colnago cyclocross bikes. And now, Colnago turns to gravel with the Colnago GRV Ultegra Gravel Bike, built for dirt and gravel roads alike.

To be clear, the Colnago GRV is in essence the same as the Colnago Prestige Disc frameset, which itself is a very well-balanced cyclocross bike. Because the Prestige frameset can be found at the starting line of the Cyclocross World Championships, it's a very light, responsive frame with agile handling. Compared to a traditional cyclocross bike, however, the GRV (and Prestige) receive a lower bottom bracket than usual, making it naturally better-equipped for longer-distance gravel riding. Both the frame and fork receive a carbon monocoque treatment, as well as internal cable routing and substantial mud clearance. The frame and fork will fit a 700 x 37c tire with room to spare, and it's smooth ride makes it well-suited for gravel.

The Colnago GRV Ultegra features a frame, fork, and headset. This is paired to a Shimano Ultegra R8020 mechanical groupset, Fulcrum Racing Sport Disc wheels, and Kenda Flintridge Pro 700 x 35c tires. GRV is available in five sizes (46-58 cm) and three colorways.
