Product Description
Fat bikes traditionally are not nimble in design or feel. They are predominantly beastly monstrosities built to handle a wide range of conditions and terrain, but this design can sacrifice rideability. The OTSO Voytek has all of the capability of its fat-bike brethren, but with a narrow pedal stance - dubbed Q factor in the industry - it sports needle-threading precision handling. The geometry of this designer mutt is that of a XC bike that can competently navigate snowy trails and zip up and down coveted singletrack during the summer months. If you’re looking for a bike that wants to wake up and roll everyday of the year, look no further.
The Voytek comes with Schwalbe Jumbo Jim 26 x 4.0 LiteSkin tires, but can accommodate massive tractor-like tires all the way up to 4.6” inches wide. This width will yield confidence in cornering during slippery winter months on surfaces from ice-ridden city roads, to the more whimsical rhythms of winding nordic trails. When the snow melts and the trails dry out, throw on some 2.2” inch tires and rip the trails with cross country confidence. And the wheel and tire customization options don’t stop there. The Voytek can fit the standard 26” wheel, 29ers, 27.5”, and much more. The limits on wheel and tire size combinations are virtually endless. OTSO has thoughtfully designed the Voytek to be whatever your heart desires.
With adaptability as OTSO’s focal point, the Voytek comes with OTSO’s Tuning Chip™ dropout system. This chip allows for the extension and shortening of the Voytek’s wheelbase by up to 20mm. This also means that the bottom bracket height can be increased by 4mm. When flicked to the forward position, you get a quick and responsive bike for easy race course navigation. In the extended position, you will have the same comfortable handling, but added stability for snow and tricky terrain.
Are you on the verge of making the switch to fat biking, but worried about the lack of suspension? Allow us to calm your nerves. With a 4” tire you can run extremely low tire pressures which allows for an absorbent and forgiving ride. If you still find yourself lacking in the suspension department, the Voytek can undergo a transformation to a plus-sized hardtail with a suspension fork and a dropper seatpost.
OTSO crafted the Voytek out of their patented carbon frame - it’s patented for good reason. The Voytek weighs only 25.40lbs with the rigid fork and tubeless setup! This industry leading fat bike weight allows for premium handling; you won’t have to practically throw yourself off of the bike to get it to turn.
We could extol our love for the OTSO Voytek indefinitely, but we think it’s best if you come on into Contender Bicycles in person to see how OTSO has crafted one bike to rule the seasons.
