Named after the infamous French Alpe d’Huez road climb, this is a lean bike that thrives on grueling climbs in big mountains. The Alpe d’Huez 01 is Time’s lightest frame; you wouldn’t be disappointed. Built with refined compliance, the Alpe d’Huez 01 is comfortable for daylong rides. That is thanks in large part to the inclusion of the TIME Aktiv Fork.

A large part of the Alpe d’Huez’s phenomenal ride quality is due to the TIME Aktiv Fork. Time developed the Aktiv fork with the intention of reducing road vibrations by 30% as compared to a standard carbon fork. This is accomplished via a special braiding technique where the carefully chosen Vectran fibers are woven into a unique shape that works to dampen the vibrations before they reverberate up to the rider’s hands.

The frame itself was constructed in Time’s European factory using a Resin Transfer Molding technique that allows for anti-fatiguing longevity that a less lovingly-made frame simply can’t match.
