We’ve waxed poetic about the SCOTT Spark and Spark RC plenty of times, namely HERE, HERE, and HERE. There isn’t much to say that we haven’t already, and so if you’re looking for more then this might not be for you. But what we will say is this: the long-awaited 2020 SCOTT Spark RC Silverfish frameset is in the store and ready for you all to get your hands on.
What is the Spark RC Silverfish? Well, its official name is the ‘2020 SCOTT SPARK RC 900 WORLD CUP NINO EDITION – SILVERFISH‘. It is based on Spark RC 900 World Cup frame, with the same HMX carbon frame, world-class geometry, and technology that has carried the likes of Nino Schurter, Kate Courtney and Jenny Rissveds to XC championships. But unlike special edition frames in the past, this just about goes into the fully-custom territory.
For starters, the frameset receives custom silver paint on the frame, swingarm, Fraser iC SL handlebar, and Syncros Duncan 1.0 seatpost. Silverfish also receives color-matched SRAM XX1 Eagle cranks, and custom-painted SRAM Level Ultimate brakes and calipers that really set this bike apart. Add in the SCOTT-specific RockShox NUDE rear shock and RockShox SID Ultimate fork that are paired to the Swiss company’s TwinLoc suspension system. Total frame weight in size medium is 1849 grams with shock and hardware, making this one of the lightest full-suspension mountain bikes you can get anywhere.
We know it’s cold out, but the Spark RC Silverfish frameset brings the heat. Come by during business hours and see it in person or to secure one of these limited-run bikes for yourself.
