The Cervélo P5 Red AXS is engineered to deliver unmatched performance for time trials and triathlons, designed for riders who demand speed, precision, and adaptability. With its roots in elite road racing, the P5 is built to excel in the most competitive environments. From the grueling Big Island to the critical time trials of the Tour de France, the P5 has been proven to enhance performance, playing a key role in Team Jumbo-Visma’s 2023 Giro d’Italia and Tour de France victories.
The new P5 frame improves upon its predecessor by being more aerodynamic, saving approximately one watt. Its increased tire clearance of 34mm allows for the use of wider wheels like the Reserve 77/88 wheelset and Vittoria’s 29mm tire, offering a system-wide watt savings of about 5 watts. To further optimize aerodynamics, the basebar has been lowered to reduce drag, while stack flexibility has been improved, increasing by up to 40mm. The one-piece front end simplifies assembly and adjustments, and the extensions now offer tilt adjustability ranging from 0 to 30 degrees in 5mm increments, ensuring a precise and customizable fit for each rider.
Comfort and control are also paramount in the new P5. With wider, taller, and thicker armrests and pads, the P5 offers more surface area for better grip, enhancing stability and control when riding in the most aerodynamic position. The frame’s new fastback seat stay design reduces vertical stiffness by 22%, providing a smoother ride while still maintaining the lateral stiffness required for optimal power transfer, helping riders stay fresh during the most demanding races.
Equipped with a Quarq DZero powermeter, the P5 Red AXS provides precise power measurement accurate to +/- 1.5%, even in varying temperatures. This integration into the crank improves stiffness, reduces weight, and ensures highly accurate performance tracking, making the Cervélo P5 Red AXS the ultimate choice for performance-focused athletes.
