The secret weapon is OPEN's double-dropped chainstay, an evolution of the single dropped stay that launched an entire category of bikes, creating a stiff, efficient box structure behind the bottom bracket that unlocks clearance for tires up to 2.4" on 650b wheels or 46mm on 700c.
