The Cerakote coating, used in aerospace and military applications, is only 1 micron thick yet boosts abrasion resistance over 100 times and corrosion resistance by more than 1000 times compared to traditional finishes. It also improves fatigue resistance by preventing surface scratches or notches that can lead to stress cracks over time.

Though Cerakote is extremely durable, it’s essential to note that exposure to abrasive particles, like sand, may eventually cause wear. Routine cleaning of both the cage and bottles is recommended to prevent the build-up of these materials, which can accelerate wear.
