Product Details
The Orbea Rise continues to redefine the lightweight electric mountain bike and set a new standard for the class. Orbea’s goal with the Rise is to bring riders closer to the trail with a “more bike, less E” philosophy. The result is the most natural-feeling e-bike on the market and the newest Rise builds on that success. The Rise returns, lighter, sleeker, and ready to open up longer adventures and provide epic rides.
Much of what makes the Rise an outstanding machine lies within Orbea’s notion of Rider Synergy. They describe this philosophy as “A system where power, range, interface, and weight are considered together, resulting in a bike which works with the rider to deliver the highest performance”. Reducing the weight of the Rise has helped it achieve handling characteristics more like a non-assisted bike and the Shimano EP801-RS and EP6-RS motors deliver smooth, efficient power in a manner so natural feeling, you might forget you’re riding an e-bike. The higher efficiency transfer of a smaller amount of power means longer battery life per charge, as well as a smoother, more un-assisted feeling ride.
The newest model brings welcome enhancements such as secure integrated cables (“SIC” System) that route through the headset, an optimized charge port cover, and a slick two-part linkage design that features an integrated 4-key multi-tool.
Also new is the Shimano EN600-L Bluetooth remote which includes both the power button and motor assistance controls in one discrete location. LEDs show the assistance level and give information on battery availability. Di2-equipped models the cable is routed through the handlebar netting the cleanest cockpit possible.
For the H-Series Rise models, Orbea uses a hydroforming process and triple-butted tubes, allowing them to perfect the wall thickness to save weight and strengthen the stress-bearing zones of the frame. The polished, smoothed welds not only match the aesthetics of a carbon frame but also increases the fatigue resistance on the welds.
Want to customize your Orbea Rise? Orbea offers their MyO customization program to customize components and even paint colors. And if you want to customize even further, the Contender Custom Program can get you exactly the tires, wheels, saddle, and more you might want.
