Juliana Wilder 1 C TR GX AXS Transmission Reserve

With a trimmed-down frame and super-efficient Superlight suspension, The Juliana Wilder 1 C TR GX AXS Transmission Reserve is an XC machine designed to get you wherever you want to go, quickly. The reach (425mm) is a little steeper and shorter than a Joplin to meet the demands of aggressive climbing, yet the Wilder’s seat tube angle is a touch slacker, and the chainstays a little longer than a Joplin too in order to retain that familiar Juliana confidence on descents. 

To help make the Wilder move as quick as possible, Juliana reduced the number of moving parts, bearings, and linkages to ensure that the rider's energy is translated into forward thrust.

 For the "TR" variation, the fork is bumped up to 120mm instead of 100mm. The slightly increased head tube angle and longer reach of the fork and front tire improves the rider position for more stable descents. The RSV version also features Reserve carbon rims.

"Anti-Squat" plays a big role in the Wilder's efficiency as well: The frame and rear suspension employ a leverage curve to provide support and control to reduce the influence that the chain tension has on the suspension. This prevents the dreaded "squat", where the rider's pedaling energy compresses the suspension rather than propelling the bike forward. This also allows the rear tire to have more traction and sensitivity while both climbing and descending. 

The anti-squat characteristics of the frame/suspension interface also allow help overcome the influence of the rider's body weight on the suspension. Bounce, pedal bob and squat are all reduced, and speed is increased.
