While there is an array of quality carbon wheelsets to choose from, few have the cachet of a Made-In-Utah ENVE wheelset. ENVE Composites has been in the carbon fiber game since 2007, and it can be argued that they have led the charge toward lighter, stronger, and more performant wheels since their inception. Perhaps the only drawback to all of their research and development work was the price, which might be best described as aspirational. The ENVE AG25 gravel wheelset brings all of the value of their carbon wheelsets to a $1600 price point.

The ENVE AG25 wheelset belongs to the Foundation Collection. Each ENVE wheelset uses their core technologies to make them best-in-class. This includes tubeless optimization and their Anti-Pinch Flat Optimization, which features increased width at the leading edge rim that both dissipates energy upon impact while offering a secure bead fit. In short, you get a wheel that optimizes tubeless tire reliability, particularly in those wince-worthy moments where rims hit rocks. It does so at a lightweight 360g for a rim. A complete wheelset weighs in at 1480g, regardless of whether you choose the AG25 or the 650b-specific ENVE AG28.

The AG25 is the brand's 700c option using a 25mm internal width and 33.5mm external width, with a suggested tire range from 32mm to 50mm wide. ENVE hubs featuring a 40t ratchet mean these wheels roll smoothly and are strong as well. Both Shimano and SRAM XDR freehubs are available, utilizing Centerlock brake rotors. All ENVE AG25 wheelsets feature Lifetime Incident Protection and a five-year material warranty.
