This exclusive Contender Custom build pairs ENVE’s race-proven frameset with carefully selected components to deliver exceptional performance and value for competitive riders.
Built on ENVE's Material Optimized Design (M.O.D.) carbon platform for both frame and fork, the Melee benefits from decades of carbon fiber expertise. Carbon fibers are meticulously layered and oriented to achieve zone-specific performance requirements, creating the ideal hybrid of stiffness and compliance. Continuous fibers run throughout the frame and fork with tapered laminates and excess material removed to save weight, giving riders everything needed and nothing unnecessary when the rubber hits the road.
Developed in CFD and validated in the wind tunnel, the Melee features refined tube shapes tuned to complement ENVE's SES™ rim profiles, delivering Real-World Fast™ aerodynamic performance balanced for efficiency and weight savings. The Integrated Front-End routes wires and hoses through the bar, stem, and headset, secured with ENVE’s anti-rattle finishing kit to keep everything silent, clean, and out of the wind. The two-piece Integrated Aero Stem and SES AR Handlebar maximize aerodynamic benefits while maintaining fit adjustability.
This Contender Custom build pairs the proven chassis with Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic shifting for crisp, reliable performance and the ENVE AR40 carbon wheelset—an all-around race wheel built to excel across flat roads, rolling terrain, and sustained climbs. Geometry and handling are optimized for 27–32mm tires with clearance up to 35mm, while the threaded T47 inboard-bearing bottom bracket ensures smooth, silent, creak-free operation.
