The new OPEN UP 2.0 Frameset comes ten years after the original OPEN UP defined the gravel bike category. Since then, OPEN has perfected the concept with the UP 2.0. This frameset represents the evolution of fast gravel riding, designed for cyclists who refuse to compromise between speed and comfort. Whether tackling gravel races, fast tarmac rides, or multi-day adventures, the UP 2.0 delivers efficient performance across any terrain while maintaining the comfort needed for extended efforts.
The frameset strikes an intelligent balance between aerodynamic efficiency and ride quality through strategic engineering. Aerodynamic shaping at the front cuts through wind resistance, while ultra-thin seatstays in the rear absorb vibrations from rough surfaces. Straight chainstays ensure maximum power transfer when the watts matter most, creating a bike that's equally capable of holding position in a gravel peloton or powering through solo adventures.
The revolutionary OPEN B.A.R. (Break All Rules) one-piece carbon handlebar and stem elevates the platform with its closed-structure composite design that reduces weight while eliminating stress risers for enhanced long-term durability. An integrated expander system secures the bar to the steerer tube and provides 15mm of fore-aft adjustment in precise 5mm increments, allowing riders to fine-tune their reach and position for optimal comfort and performance( a visualizer showing how adjustments can be made is shown below).
Designed around tire sizes from 35mm to 46mm, the U.P. 2.0 offers sharp, responsive handling without sacrificing all-day comfort. The deep head tube, internal cable routing, and aerodynamic profile contribute to reduced drag, while practical features like the T47 threaded bottom bracket and UDH derailleur compatibility ensure easy maintenance and future upgrades.
