The new SCOTT Genius receives a bold redesign that elevates this trail bike to the next level. Its ‘any trail, any time’ mantra is enhanced by unique suspension features, cutting-edge design, and top-tier geometry. At the heart of the SCOTT Genius is its Integrated Suspension Technology, a sophisticated design that conceals the rear suspension within the frame. That's right: the shock is inside the frame. To make this work, SCOTT includes a built-in sag indicator on the non-drive side of the bike’s rocker link. SCOTT claims this design lowers the center of gravity, improving stability and handling. Crucially, mounting the shock lower also stiffens the frame around the bottom bracket without adding extra weight. Accessing the shock is simple through a downtube door, which doubles as durable bottom bracket protection, ensuring the bike's longevity and ease of maintenance.
Each SCOTT Genius uses a three-position shock adjustment lever called TwinLoc, located on the handlebars and controlling both the fork and shock simultaneously. This fundamentally changes the bike's character: the wide-open setting is ideal for descending, the middle ‘traction’ setting offers better pedal strike clearance, a more aggressive climbing position, and greater suspension efficiency, while the full lockout is perfect for dirt roads.
