Product Description
Shimano doesn't just make some of the most popular drivetrain components in the cycling world, but some of the best cycling shoes around as well. They're best-known for their lightweight racing shoes, but their trail mountain biking shoes deserve plenty of attention as well. The Shimano SH-ME501 Mountain Shoes are made for dedicated trail performance, perfect for the rowdy side of cycling who value a balanced cycling shoe.
The newest generation of the Shimano ME5 mountain shoe has a slim profile and shallow height, but it's Torbal sole, which offers side flex in the heel area, a reinforced cleat, and stiff, but not too stiff sole make the shoe very versatile. It's a shoe that is stiff enough to ride all day, but good enough for requisite hike-a-bike. The grippy Michelin rubber offers plenty of traction, while the Boa L6 dial is a great choice for quick and precise micro-adjustments. A great trail shoe or enduro-ready shoe.
The Shimano SH-ME501 Mountain Shoes are available in thirteen sizes (38-50), in two colorways. Fit is typical Shimano; wider than average at the forefoot, with plenty of space in the midfoot section too.
