The Shimano DURA-ACE Disc R9270 C60 Tubeless Wheelset prioritizes aerodynamic efficiency and lateral rigidity, making it perfect for flatter courses and time trials. The improved hub design, stiffer spokes, and deep-section rims are also designed specifically to allow you to push harder in corners and ensure that every bit of your effort is translated into forward motion.
Like the rest of the DURA-ACE 9270 wheel family, the C60 started with a blank slate. The C60 uses a specific front hub design that employs Shimano's OPTBAL 2:1 spoke pattern to enhance lateral rigidity. The C60 also receives stiffer 1.8mm spokes, instead of the 1.5 mm spokes used on the C36 and C50. The focus on the lateral rigidity of the C60 is what allows you to push harder in corners and when maneuvering at higher speeds. Lastly the wind-tunnel tested, deep section rims feature a faster, more stable cross-section that will be appreciated and enjoyed by time trialists, triathletes, and sprinters alike.
