Our New Contender x Espinosa Bicicleta Jersey is All About Air Quality
We are fortunate to live in Salt Lake City, where we find ourselves right next to world-class mountain biking, skiing, and natural resources that are truly enviable. But that beauty is too often restricted by air quality. At times, Utah has the worst air quality in the U.S. And while Utah has made significant strides in the past forty years, our poor air quality literally hangs above us as it compromises the beauty of our state. This holiday season, we have teamed up with our friend and illustrator Leo Espinosa to offer a small run of Contender x Espinosa Bicicleta Long Sleeve Jerseys. 100% of profits from this jersey run will be donated to UCAIR, a state partnership aimed at improving Utah's air.

Never heard of UCAIR? Pronounced "you care", this nonprofit organization seeks to bring communities, businesses, and individuals to make small changes to their habits to improve Utah air quality. In their eyes, state and federal legislation isn't enough when three of the area's major metro areas rank (SLC, Provo, and Logan) in the top 25 in PM2.5 air pollution. Air quality is a non-partisan issue, and all the small changes we make lead to collective steps toward improved health, quality of life, and economic productivity. 
UCAIR is at the forefront of this movement to reduce air pollution and emissions in Utah through voluntary actions. They offer grants to help organizations lower emissions, as well as involving Utah residents in putting in place solutions that improve our day-to-day lives. Additionally, UCAIR offers education to private and public organizations, and to people young and old on how to deal with poor air quality at its worst moments. More information can be found HERE.
