The Gritter’s performance foundation lies in its long-fiber carbon composite plate, engineered by Giro to deliver optimal stiffness with forefoot flex specifically tuned to handle hike-a-bike sections without compromising power transfer during pedaling. This carbon plate is co-molded directly with Giro’s proprietary Sensor rubber outsole, creating a permanent, glue-less bond that ensures lightweight construction and lasting durability. The Sensor rubber formula balances grip and durability without weight penalties, providing confident traction when dismounting for technical sections or challenging terrain.

The innovative Syncwire upper construction utilizes a stitch-less design that combines breathable ripstop fabric with durable film in an advanced laminate. This composite construction includes thermo-bonded film for overall durability, a non-woven internal sheet that distributes closure system force across the upper for direct power transfer, and mono-filament mesh for exceptional ventilation. The result is a lightweight shoe with incredible airflow and structural integrity that conforms to the rider’s foot while providing protection from trail elements.
