At the heart of the SCOTT Genius is its Integrated Suspension Technology, a sophisticated system that cleverly hides the rear suspension within the frame itself. Yes, you read that right—the shock is fully encased inside the frame. This innovative design doesn’t just look cool; it also offers tangible performance benefits. For instance, SCOTT has incorporated a built-in sag indicator on the non-drive side of the bike’s rocker link, allowing for precise setup. This integrated suspension layout lowers the bike’s center of gravity, making for a more stable and controlled ride. Additionally, mounting the shock lower in the frame increases stiffness around the bottom bracket area without adding any unnecessary weight.
Accessing the shock is a breeze thanks to a cleverly designed downtube door, which opens with the push of a button. This door doesn’t just provide easy access; it also doubles as durable bottom bracket protection, ensuring your bike remains in top condition even in rough terrain.
