Beautiful Bicycle - A Dreamy Orange Pinarello Dogma F12 Disk
Orange isn't for everyone. The Pinarello Dogma will always polarize due to its unyielding dedication to the pursuit of speed. And Campagnolo Super Record? Well, that really isn't for everyone. But this bike - an amalgamation of Italian excellence - is just the right choice for its rider. We couldn't be happier with the result.
Dogma: Infallible and Unyielding
We've had a long history with Pinarello, and even all the way back to the Dogma made of magnesium rather than carbon. For most of it, the Dogma has been the pinnacle of Pinarello engineering, design, and technology. It has also become one of, if not the, winningest road bike in history, seeing World Tour wins under Team Sky and now Ineos.
At the same time, we've watched as the Dogma has become better with each passing generation. The formula is simple: race-ready handling, lightning-quick acceleration, and a surprising bit of comfort. The latest Dogma F12 is a continual refinement to their formula, but has seen steps forward in aero efficiency and increased ride smoothness.
So why is the Dogma so polarizing? People have always been able to point to something lighter, something stiffer, something with a bit more flash. But there is no substitute for a Pinarello, as this rider would agree.
Details
This build pulls out all the stops. Campagnolo Super Record EPS is almost jewel-like in its finish, particularly when one considers the carbon finish on the crank and brake lever blades. This makes Campagnolo Bora WTO 45 wheels a logical pairing, one of the fastest and smoothest wheels we've ever had in the shop. It manages a similar carbon finish to the rest of the Campagnolo kit. We're surprised other companies haven't tried to match what they're doing.
The MOST Talon Ultra handlebars were designed specifically for the Dogma F12, flowing neatly into the headset and spacers, but they also provide aero benefits due to its hidden cabling. The Fizik Arione saddle is a go-to for fast road bikes like this, just like the Schwalbe Pro One tires set up tubeless.
As you'd expect, all the stops have been pulled on this build with no compromises. It is truly a beautiful bicycle, regardless of how polarizing it might be. See the spec sheet below, as well as the rest of the Pinarello Dogma Gallery.
