Beautiful Bicycle: Pinarello Dogma X
Every so often, a bike rolls through Contender where the paint job and the build feel like kindred spirits—less overlapping Venn diagram and more two perfectly aligned circles. Frame, components, and finish all pulling in the same direction, delivering a single, cohesive vision. Such is the case with our latest Beautiful Bicycle, a deceptively fast Pinarello Dogma X.
As Pinarello’s top-shelf endurance road bike, you’d be forgiven for assuming this build might skew more mellow, and less menacing. But you’d be wrong. Beneath the more relaxed geometry lives an unmistakably premium build—SRAM Red AXS, ZIPP carbon wheels, a MOST Talon cockpit, and premium finishing touches—ready to push the pace and punish the competition, especially for rides that could be categorized as an “all day affair.”
That same sense of contrast carries through visually, with a classic case study in both restraint and ominous threat: deep black paint and raw carbon surfaces, interrupted by a single, deliberate pop of red at the stem. Like a black widow—quiet and composed, but unmistakably dangerous—this bike doesn’t need loud colors or bold graphics to make its intentions clear.
The result is a subtle yet striking endurance road bike: stealth yet refined, brutally capable, and fully prepared to slay—without ever needing to shout about it.

Frame & Finish: Italian Pedigree, Sharpened
At its foundation, the Dogma X is unmistakably Pinarello. The brand’s long-standing commitment to asymmetric frame design is present throughout, subtly addressing the unequal forces generated by the drivetrain while preserving the balanced, precise ride feel that has long-defined the modern Dogma lineage.
What sets the Dogma X apart is how that race-bred DNA has been refined for endurance. The geometry invites long hours in the saddle, yet the stiffness and handling remain distinctly racy. The paint and finish amplify that dual personality: stealthy black tones and exposed carbon that reveal their depth only up close. It’s elegant with intent.
Drivetrain: Top Shelf, No Apologies
A frame of this caliber deserves a drivetrain to match, and SRAM Red AXS delivers. Wireless shifting keeps the bike visually uncluttered while offering crisp, decisive gear changes when the pace ramps up.
Once again, there’s a low-key detail that subtly steals the spotlight: an oil-slick, rainbow colored SRAM cassette and chain. Against the mostly monochromatic build, it reads as functional jewelry, with just enough flash to remind you that performance and personality can coexist beautifully.

Cockpit: Business Up Front, And Up Front About Its Business
Up front, MOST Talon integrated cockpit reinforces the bike’s singular, integrated vision. Fully internal routing, clean lines, and confident ergonomics keep the front end sharp and purposeful. The lone red accent at the stem acts as a visual punctuation mark—small, deliberate, and impossible to ignore once you notice it.
Wheels & Tires: Speed Meets Stability
Rolling duties comes courtesy of ZIPP 303 SW carbon wheels, striking a sweet spot between climbing efficiency, descending confidence, and real-world durability. They’re a natural match for a bike built to go fast for a very long time.
Paired with Pirelli P ZERO Race TLR tires, the setup delivers grip and efficiency in equal measure. Look closely and you’ll catch another quiet flex: ZIPP AXS wheel sensors, which monitor real-time pressure while also talking to the rest of the AXS ecosystem, including the SRAM AXS smartphone application. A tiny detail, but emblematic of this entire build—no corners cut, anywhere.

Finishing Touches: Comfort Without Compromise
Contact points round out the package with a Selle Italia Boost SLR Boost 3D saddle, blending long-ride comfort with a clean, performance-forward silhouette. Silca Nastro Cuscino bar tape adds just the right amount of cushioning, making this bike as comfortable deep into hour five as it is lethal off the line.
