Ernie's Best Builds: Otso Voytek Trail
Ernie the corgi is known around these parts for his discerning taste in bicycles. This year, we wanted to highlight some of his favorite bike builds. Link to the complete list found HERE.
Day ten of Ernie's Best Builds goes to the Otso Voytek Trail. Every Otso Voytek is based around the Voytek carbon frame, designed to fit 26" and 27.5" fat bike tires, as well as 27.5" and 29" plus tires. This version is based around 26 x 4.4" tires, a Shimano SLX 1x11 drivetrain, and the Otso Voytek carbon fork, and weighs in at just 25 lbs.
Otso might be the newest brand to our shop, but we've quickly come to enjoy the Voytek. We dig the Tuning Chip frame dropout, which makes the bike feel nimble when needed, but give it ample tire clearance as well. We also dig the bike's reasonable spec sheet, which might not be the blingiest specs around, but it manages to impress in what it can do. What we dig the most, however, is the relatively-narrow Q-factor of the crankset. It's not something everyone will notice, but those who do will absolutely love how this bike on snow, dirt, and everywhere in between. More info can be found HERE.
