Built around BMC's AeroSynthesis design philosophy, the Kaius 01 represents a 12% faster frameset compared to the first generation through reshaped aerodynamics inspired by the latest Teammachine SLR 01 and Teammachine R. The wide-crown Halo fork pushes airflow away from the wheel while creating generous tire clearance, the sculpted AeroCore downtube is shaped to work aerodynamically with bottles (making the bike faster with hydration in place), and the deep cross-section head tube paired with the ICS Carbon Aero cockpit confirms you're riding a machine built for pure speed. Yet despite adding aero, tire clearance, and cargo capacity, the second-generation frameset is 63 grams lighter than the original at just 1,469 grams complete (998g frame, 400g fork, 134g seatpost), proof that progress doesn't have to weigh you down.
