The Teammachine R 01 FOUR features BMC's 01 Premium Carbon layup, providing a highly efficient balance of low weight and targeted stiffness. The frame is engineered to remain exceptionally responsive under power, allowing riders to accelerate quickly while maintaining the rigidity needed for hard efforts. Computational fluid dynamics and extensive testing with Red Bull Advanced Technologies influenced everything from the frame profiles to the fork and cockpit, resulting in a cohesive aerodynamic system rather than simply an aero-shaped frame.

One of the most distinctive features is the wide-stance Halo Fork. Its exceptionally wide fork legs help manage turbulent airflow generated by the rotating front wheel, reducing disruption around the frame while contributing to the bike's unmistakable appearance. The oversized head tube and deep bottom bracket area further optimize airflow and structural efficiency, while the integrated Aerocore design brings the frame and components together into a streamlined package.

The Teammachine R was developed to be more than a bike that performs well in a wind tunnel.
