The Campagnolo EKAR rear derailleur draws on the engineering heritage of Campagnolo's high-performance road groupsets, including Super Record, while being purpose-built for the unique demands of gravel riding. Designed exclusively for the EKAR 1x 13-speed platform, it takes advantage of a 9-tooth smallest sprocket to deliver an exceptionally wide gear range with closely spaced ratios, helping riders maintain an efficient cadence across varied terrain.

A single medium-cage derailleur design is compatible with the full range of EKAR cassette options, from 9-36T through 10-44T, simplifying setup while accommodating everything from fast gravel routes to steep off-road climbs. The derailleur's geometry is engineered specifically for the EKAR 13-speed system, ensuring precise, reliable shifting across all sprockets. Differentiated pulley wheel tooth profiles promote smooth chain movement while enhancing chain retention when riding over rough and unpredictable surfaces.

For additional security, the integrated clutch mechanism helps stabilize the chain, reducing chain slap and drivetrain noise while improving retention on challenging terrain. The clutch can also be positioned forward to simplify rear wheel removal and installation.

Constructed from carbon fiber-reinforced polyamide, anodized 7075 and 6082 aluminum alloys, and stainless steel hardware, the EKAR rear derailleur balances low weight with the durability needed to withstand the rigors of gravel riding. With more than 70 individual components working together, it is engineered to provide long-lasting performance in demanding conditions.
