Cervélo S5 Force AXS
Product Details
The Cervélo S5 represents the sport's benchmark for speed and aerodynamic efficiency—a legacy earned through countless victories at the highest levels of professional cycling. From Wout van Aert's record-breaking Green Jersey margin to Simon Yates climbing into the maglia rosa, the S5's iconic V-stem and bayonet fork have become fixtures at the front of the professional peloton. The new generation builds on that storied legacy of speed by getting even faster, delivering 6 watts of additional performance while shedding 124 grams compared to its predecessor.
The biggest aerodynamic gains come from the front of the bike, where it matters most. The fork legs and head tube are significantly deeper, managing airflow with precision. The all-new one-piece HB19 handlebar and stem builds directly on the original V-stem concept while advancing it further. The innovative "Plus-Four" design narrows the dimension at the hoods by 4 centimeters compared to the drops, allowing riders to maintain a more aerodynamic body position while on the hoods while providing stability and control in the drops for descending and sprinting. Integration of asymmetric seat tube and rear wheel profiles contributes additional aerodynamic gains throughout the system.
Despite the increase in fork and head tube depth, Cervélo optimized the carbon layup and hardware to deliver a complete package that is lighter than its predecessor. Every detail has been refined for speed without sacrifice.
The Reserve 57|64 wheelset was co-developed specifically for the S5 frame. The rear wheel's asymmetry matches the seat tube profile, ensuring air flows smoothly over both surfaces. These wheels deliver 3 watts of additional performance over their predecessors while maintaining the same weight, a remarkable achievement in integrated aerodynamic system design.
SRAM Force AXS E1 drivetrain with integrated power meter delivers responsive electronic shifting across dual chainrings, while DT Swiss 240 Dicut hubs provide reliable, lightweight hub performance.
