The latest generation Soloist arrives dramatically faster and lighter than its predecessor. An 8.6-watt aerodynamic gain comes from a deeper head tube, deeper fork legs, and a bottom bracket junction that shields the rear wheel, refinements validated through computational fluid dynamics and extensive wind tunnel testing. At the same time, updated tube shaping and a refined carbon layup shaved 267 grams from the complete system while increasing frame and fork surface area. Race-ready from the shop floor at 6.85 kilograms, the Soloist sits right at the UCI weight limit.

The one-piece HB18 carbon cockpit is both lighter and more aerodynamic than traditional two-piece setups, with integrated cable routing creating a clean front end while maintaining serviceability. Included aero bottles save an additional 4.3 watts of drag compared to standard round bottles, while remaining compatible with neutral service bottles when needed. The engineering team offered multiple stem and handlebar combinations to ensure every rider achieves their ideal fit.

The refined geometry maintains the race-focused philosophy of the R5 while incorporating subtle updates that improve stability and confidence. A 2mm lower bottom bracket drops the rider's center of gravity, while size-specific chainstay lengths maintain consistent handling across every frame size. The result feels quick and responsive during aggressive efforts yet remains composed during high-speed cornering and fast pacelines.

SRAM Rival AXS E1 electronic drivetrain with integrated power meter delivers wireless shifting across 12 speeds with a compact 48/35T chainring setup, while Reserve 40/44s wheels provide reliable, aerodynamic performance across varied terrain. Practical integration ensures the Soloist remains service-friendly with 36mm tire clearance and T47A bottom bracket compatibility.
